Myanmar - Message Of Hope
With a deep sense of urgency, I ask that each and every one of you reading these words will stop for a second. Stop to truly give this matter some thought. Not to just simply browse over my words. For they are not empty. My pleas are not futile. I am reaching out. Desperate to help in the only way possible. Together with the power of united strength, love and empathy, the tragedy may be prevented from worsening. I am asking for hope. For positive change. For recovery. For healing.
I came to understand the people of Myanmar. They are kind, loving and spiritual. They ask for the one basic thing we as humans all hold treasured. A peaceful existence. One in which they can raise their families. Nurture their environment. Create better lives on every level. So that they too may walk in dignity. With grace.
This beautiful painting was created by my dear friend, Sian. She produced this work whilst during lockdown in Thailand. Without the correct paints or canvas on hand, Sian often made use of her lipsticks on wallpaper. Nothing could deter this incredible lady from sharing her talents.
This specific work done in acrylics provides a poignant message of hope to Myanmar. The script on the background means ‘Hope’ in Myanmar.
Thank you Sian.
My heart goes out to the kind and gentle people of Myanmar. The ruthless treatment which they are experiencing. is undeserved. They are in my heart and in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteWhat they have been experiencing over the years is awful. What we take for granted is only a dream for them at the moment. It's so sad when those with greed take advantage over the powerless. The world never seems to learn
