The Miracle of Fools
“I must learn to love the fool in me – the one who feels too much, talks too much, takes too many chances, wins sometimes and loses often, lacks self-control, loves and hates, hurts and gets hurt, promises and breaks promises, laughs and cries. It alone protects me against that utterly self-controlled, masterful tyrant whom I also harbour and who would rob me of human aliveness, humility and dignity but for my fool”
- Theodore I. Rubin
The above thoughts so beautifully illustrate my feelings and my outlook towards life. We are all so perfectly Human. We have our weaknesses and our fears. However, we often destroy ourselves due to a lack of believing in who and what we are. We limit our personal development - largely due to the all-powerful fear of the unknown. Each one of us is a unique and wonderful creation - capable of miracles.
In order to develop, to experience what life has to offer, we must free ourselves of our comfort zones and our limitations. Release and respect the ‘fool’ in us. Once we have done that, every journey and experience will take us closer to discovering that everything we are looking for … lies within ourselves.
